Our commitment to giving back is brought to life by the passion shown by our employees. Our founder, Marvin Sands, made giving back an essential component of our values. As we have grown, this culture has been enhanced by the people and companies that have become part of the Constellation family.
Our Nourishing Neighbors initiative, started in 2014, enhances the grassroots efforts of our employees through a unified, company-wide strategy. Employees are given paid time off to volunteer, and together with the company, donate food and money to help fight hunger in our communities.
We partner with Blessings in a Backpack, a global organization fighting childhood hunger, and other local food banks in our communities. The money we donate through the initiative are used to provide much-needed food services to hundreds of children at schools in our local communities.

Our community giving efforts focus on arts and culture, healthcare, and education. These areas are important to our company and our employees, and we support organizations around the world with monetary and product support.
We support several health care organizations and initiatives around the world, including the American Cancer Society, Rochester Regional Health System, F.F. Thompson Hospital, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Lodi Memorial Hospital, the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, InterVol, and the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure.
We target our giving in support of children with developmental challenges, programs that support wine and culinary education, and science and business curriculums. A few examples include the Robert Mondavi Institute at UC Davis, Finger Lakes Community College, the University of Illinois, Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, the Napa Valley Unified School District, the New York Wine and Culinary Center, and The Oxbow School.
We believe arts and culture are an integral piece of thriving communities. In addition to our concert series at the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) and Robert Mondavi Winery, we also support arts and cultural organizations like the Nazareth College Arts Center, the Napa Valley Symphony, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

As an employee, our commitment to CSR programs is important to me because I was raised to believe in helping others within our community. I feel strongly that CSR priorities should be focused on the young and the elderly, our two most vulnerable populations.
We match employee contributions, dollar-for-dollar, to eligible charities of their choice. This allows Constellation to contribute to causes our employees are most passionate about. To increase participation in the program, we dedicate a single day - Employee Match Day - for all employees to donate in unison, and add in incentives for participation. Between employee donations, the company match and special incentives, our Employee Match Day in July 2018 resulted in a total of $525,000 in donations to over 450 not-for-profit organizations.
