Constellation Brands Announces Enhanced Paid Leave for All Parents

Policy Increases Fully-Paid Maternity and Parental Leave

VICTOR, N.Y., March 13, 2017 - Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), a leading beverage alcohol company, announced today a comprehensive expansion of its parental leave benefits for all eligible U.S. employees. New birth mothers now qualify for 16 weeks of fully-paid leave and any employee, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, now can take up to eight weeks of paid leave when they welcome a new baby or child to their family, including through adoption or foster placement. The enhanced parental leave benefits supplement the paid leave Constellation Brands currently provides to birth mothers.

“Welcoming a new baby or child is a momentous event for all families,” said Tom Kane, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, Constellation Brands. “As a company founded with and guided by family values, Constellation appreciates the importance for all parents to have the opportunity to spend time and bond with their new child.”

Constellation is now making it even easier for people to better balance long-term career goals with family goals.

“The expanded parental leave policy helps us attract and retain stellar talent across the organization and build an inclusive environment that supports both working moms and dads by removing gender from the equation,” continued Kane. “We’re confident that these enhanced benefits will allow the time needed to bond with their children so that when they return to work, new moms and dads will be more productive and successful. Ultimately, the expansion of our parental leave benefits make us a stronger company with a talented and dynamic workforce.”

The expanded parental leave is one element in a broad array of benefits offered by Constellation Brands to meet the needs of its diverse and talented employee base at all life and career stages. In addition to career development opportunities and training, comprehensive health and well-being benefits, financial security benefits, and employee recognition programs, Constellation Brands also provides several work-life balance programs and benefits such as adoption assistance, legal assistance, and child care and elder care support. Constellation continues to benchmark programs and benefits to ensure employee compensation is competitive and seeks opportunities to expand offerings that support a diverse and inclusive workforce.
